Calculate carbon intensity, per barrel of oil equivalent, per annum using CO2CALC. A proprietary CO2 modeling tool that is reliable, repeatable and adaptable. Applying this to oil and gas fields across the globe has delivered CO2BENCH a database that allows any field to be objectively benchmarked
How much energy is used in your operation?
How much carbon is released through combustion?
Is that energy used efficiently to find, develop and produce oil and gas?
All Green House Gases (GHG) that are Vented, Flared or Fugitive emissions (VFF) are included in the model
By summing all carbon that is released into the atmosphere through energy use or emission the total annual carbon output is calculated
Carbon Intensity (CI) is the total annual carbon output divided by the barrels of oil equivalent produced annually
The Green House Gas Emissions From Oil And Gas Operations (Scope 1 and 2) Account For Upto 37% Of The Lifecycle Emissions (Scope 1, 2 and 3) - See WRIORG image below.
These Are The Direct Emissions That Oil and Gas Companies Control And Are Accountable For.
